WRITE BUFFER
64-KB Transfers
128-KB Transfers
Since the microcode size varies, the last block of microcode data may not fall on
an even 64-KB boundary. This partial block of data must be zero-padded to make
it 64KB in size.
The download and save process takes approximately 60 seconds to complete.
Adjust SCSI command time-outs accordingly.
After the download is complete, the power must be cycled to restart decoder
operation with the new microcode. Alternatively, a SCSI Reset or Bus Device
Reset can be issued.
NOTES:
(1) The MPEG FIFO buffer area is used during this command. No
WRITE
(6)
or
WRITE
(10) commands can be used during a microcode download sequence.
(2) Power should not be cycled during execution of the download sequence. An inoper-
ative condition may result.
