Vehicles w ith level control system
Autom atic headlight ra ng e a djustment 3
On vehicles w ith Xenon headlights, the
range of the head lig hts is adjusted
automatically based on vehicle load.
If control indicator

for autom atic
head lig ht ra nge adjustment illuminates in
the instrument cluster while driving, a fault
has occurred.
Hav e the cause of the fault remed ied
immediately. Consult a workshop.
Door-to-door lighting
The dipped beam a nd reversing lights
illuminate for app rox. 30 seconds after the
driver exits the vehic le and closes the door.
To activate function:
If the driver’s door is left open, the lights will
extinguish after two minutes.
Door-to-door lighting can be dea ctivated
by inserting the key in the starter switch or
by pulling the turn signal stalk towards the
steering w heel again w hile the driver’s door
is open.
Instrument illumination,
information display illumination
Com es on when ignition is switched on.
Brightness can be adjusted when the
exterior lights are on: turn wheel to the
right or left until the desired b rig htness is
obtained .
If driver’s door is opened or
q is pressed on
the remote control, instrument panel lights
will illuminate autom atically and stay on
for approx. 30 seconds until sta rter switch
is turned to the ACC position.
