Topping up engine oil
Oils of different ma nufacturers a nd brands
can be mixed as long a s you comply w ith
the sp ecified engine oil criteria (quality and
viscosity).
Not every engine oil availab le on the
market meets the quality req uirements,
always c heck the required specification
and rating is mark ed on the conta iner.
If engine oil of the required q ua lity is not
ava ilab le, a maximum of 1 litre of ACEA
A3/B4 or A3/B3 grade may be used (only
once between each oil change). The
viscosity should be of the correct rating.
Use of ACEA A1/B1 and A5/B5 engine oil is
expressly forbidden, since they can cause
long-term engine da mage und er certain
opera ting conditions.
Eng ine oil add itives
The use of engine oil additives could cause
dam age and invalidate the warranty.
Eng ine oil viscosity
SAE 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-30 or 5W-40.
The SAE viscosity rating defines the ability
of an oil to flow. When cold, oil is more
viscous than when hot.
Multigrad e oil is indicated by two figures.
The first figure, followed b y a W, ind ic ates
low temp erature v iscosity and the second
figure the high tempera ture viscosity.
Coolant and anti-freeze
Use anti-freeze of recomm ended
spec ification: silicate-free LLC (Long Life
Coolant).
The system is factory-filled with coolant
designed for frost protection d ow n to
app rox. -28 °C. This concentration should
be maintained all year-round.
Coolant ad ditives intended to give
add itional corrosion protection or seal
aga inst minor lea ks can cause function
problems. Lia bility for consequences
resulting from the use of coolant additives
will be rejected.
