- Do not walk under the branch after you have made the cut.
- IMPORTANT! Before proceeding with the final cut, check that there are no persons,
animals, or objects in the fall area.

This operation consists of cutting the branches of felled trees.
Note: Do not cut the branches that support the felled tree before cutting it in pieces.
(Fig.2)
- IMPORTANT! Do not climb onto the trunk to cut it.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE (TRIMMING, PRUNING)
- Start cutting the branch with the machine already operating.
- Move the cutting blade away when the machine is still rotating, otherwise the bar
could get blocked inside the branch.
- Work by exerting light pressure on the machine without overloading the motor.
- Cut the branches starting from the lowest ones.
- Use the spike (Fig.A, 11) to help you get closer to the branches that are still entangled
on the plant.
- Wear the shoulder strap.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THE MACHINE WHILST STANDING ON LADDERS OR OTHER
UNSTABLE DEVICES, STAND ON THE GROUND.

Take care of your machine and clean it regularly to ensure that it remains perfectly
efficient and has a long lifetime.
Clean the machine with a soft brush or cloth.
Do not spray or wet the machine with water.
Do not use inflammable substances, detergents or solvents as these may damage the
machine beyond repair. The plastic parts are prone to damage by chemical agents.
Periodically lubricate the accessory using the appropriate lubricator (Fig.A, 10).
Bar and chain
- Tension and oil the chain when necessary
- Bring the chain to a specialised workshop for maintenance and sharpening as
needed.
- Turn the bar 180° following extensive use and when the chain is replaced in order to create
uniform wear along the entire bar.
- Lubricate or grease the ball bearings on the nose of the bar regularly.
- Keep the oil channels on the bar clean.
- Replace the chain when, after repeated sharpenings, the length of the tooth has
reached 4 mm or when the links are worn. (Chain type: see technical data)
- Replace the bar if deformed or damaged. (Bar type: see technical data)
- Clean the bar and chain with a degreasing product before a prolonged period of
storage of the machine.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The chain and bar overheat
- Insufficient oil in the tank: fill
- The chain is too tense: loosen the chain.
- Oil nozzle or channel clogged: clean it.
- Adjusting bolt closed: loosen the screw
Chain is dry
- Insufficient oil in the tank: fill with oil
- Adjusting bolt closed: loosen the screw
The chain saw does not cut well, blocks, or makes banging noise
- Chain is loose adjust the chain tension
- Chain is worn: sharpen or replace it.
- Defective chain: replace it.
An oil stain forms under the chain saw
- The chain saw was not cleaned and the sawdust releases the oil accumulated during
cutting: clean the saw and remove the sawdust from the housing.
