CONTROL FUNCTION
OVERVIEW - SECTION A
GENERAL
This section explains the operation of each menu function on
the SYSTEMpro 311 in order of control area.
WARM WEATHER SHUT DOWN (WWSD)
(See fig. a)
• When the outdoor air temperature rises above WWSD
setting, the SYSTEMpro 311 turns on the LCD's WWSD
pointer
• When control is in Warm Weather Shut Down, Mix Demand
and Boiler Demand pointers are still displayed if there is a
demand
NOTE:
The control does not operate the heating
system to satisfy Mix or Boiler demands. The control
will respond to a DHW demand and operates as
described in Section C.
EXERCISING
• The SYSTEMpro 311 has a built-in pump and valve
exercising function
• If a pump or valve output on the control has not been
operated at least once during every exercising period, the
control turns on the output for 10 seconds
• Exercising reduces possibility of a pump or valve seizing
during a long period of inactivity
NOTE:
If a mixing valve is being used as the mixing
device, the SYSTEMpro 311 makes sure the valve
operates over its entire range at least once each
exercising period (every 70 hours). The exercising
function will not work if power to the control,
pumps or valves is disconnected.
