6.3 Application examples: Conversion of gas flow rate into standardised flow rate
The flow meter measures the gas flow rate in a standard unit (m
³
/h, m
³
/s, etc.). In the gas industry, the
standardised flow rate is commonly used as a unit (Nm
3
/h, Nm
3
/s, etc.) and is calculated according to the
gas pressure and temperature. The standard used for this unit conversion is ISO 2533.
6.3.1 Integration of pressure and temperature
As standard, the temperature should be entered into the machine manually via the "function settings" menu.
As an option, the temperature and pressure may be integrated via an analogue input. This is an option to be
requested at the time of ordering and involves the addition of an analogue input in the flow meter.
6.3.2 Reading the standardised flow rate
The standardised flow rate is displayed in the "measurement menu".
