3. Run Video Capture and click Setup: Switch Capture Plug-in.
4. In Current capture plug-in, select Windows Media Format Capture
Plug-in.
5. To begin capturing, click Record on the Control Bar, or click Capture:
Video when working in Capture mode.
6. Specify the Capture method to use and click Properties to define the
video and audio capture settings of the WMV file. After that, click OK to
return to the Capture Video dialog box.
7. Enter a file name for the video. Click Browse to locate the target
directory. You also have the option to select a different profile to generate
the WMV file.
Note: If you want to use another profile in capturing a DV video straight to WMV
format, click Setup: Video Capture Property Setting. In the dialog box, click Select
Profile to select from the list of available profiles installed in your computer.
8. Click OK to start capturing. If you want to start capturing immediately
after pressing the Record button, clear Display capture options before
capturing in Preferences dialog box.
9. To stop capturing, press [Esc]. If you have specified the length of
capturing under Capture Method, MediaStudio Pro automatically stops
the capturing process for you.
Capturing video based on a profile
The quality of a WMV file depends on the profile it is using. A Profile
covers various attributes for a Windows Media Format file such as bit rate,
number and type of streams, compression quality, frame size and so on.
When capturing a video directly to WMV format, MediaStudio Pro uses the
default profile to complete the capturing process. You also have the option
to select other profiles to attain preferred captured file quality.
