Inspecting Primary Air Filter Element

1. Hold a bright light (A) inside element and check

carefully for holes. Discard any element which shows
the smallest hole or rupture.

2. Be sure outer screen (B) is not dented. Vibration

would quickly wear a hole in filter.

3. Be sure filter gasket (C) is in good condition. If gasket

is damaged or missing, replace element.

IMPORTANT: Air cleaner MUST BE DRY before

storing in plastic bag.

If the filter is to be stored for later use, place it in a
plastic bag to protect it from dust and damage.
