Region codes
Region coding is part of the protection system for DVD content. It
divides the world into six regions. For example, Region 1
comprises the United States and Canada. The intent is to enable
specific content to be viewed in a specific region.

Playing CDs and files
Operating DVDExpress is very much like operating a home CD
player. In fact, you can connect your computer to an external video
source and play full-screen DVD movies on your TV.
If you prefer to continue working on your computer while others
enjoy the movie, you can minimize DVDExpress on your desktop
while it continues to play in full-screen mode on your external
display.
NOTE: When you load a DVD disc, the Mediamatics DVD
Player dialog box may appear displaying a message that
video and audio playback performance depends on
processor speed (MHz) and system configuration (for
example, your graphics controller and audio card).
