1. Disengage the PTO, move the motion-control levers to
the N
EUTRAL
-
LOCK
position, and set the parking brake.
2. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
3. Unlatch the seat and tilt the seat up.
4. Remove the battery as shown in Figure 53 .

Note:
Position the battery in the tray with the terminal posts
opposite from the hydraulic tank.
