Operating the Parking Brake
Always set the parking brake when you stop the machine or
leave it unattended.
Setting the Parking Brake
1.
Move the motion-control levers (
) out to the
N
EUTRAL
-
LOCK
position.
2.
Pull up and back on the parking-brake lever to set the
parking brake (
). The parking-brake lever
should stay firmly in the E
NGAGED
position.
WARNING
The parking brake may not hold the machine
parked on a slope and could cause personal
injury or property damage.
Do not park the machine on slopes unless the
wheels are chocked or blocked
Releasing the Parking Brake
Push forward and down on the parking-brake lever to
release the parking brake (
). The parking brake is
disengaged and the lever rests against the brake stop.

Important:
Use starting cycles of no more than 30
seconds per minute to avoid overheating the starter
motor.
Note:
Additional starting cycles may be required when
starting the engine for the first time after the fuel system has
been completely without fuel.
