1-M/E Panel Built In Menu
Introduction
The Kalypso 1-M/E Main panel has a built-in menu system, permitting
operation without a separate Menu panel. This menu system uses an alpha-
numeric text display, five soft knobs, five soft buttons, and dedicated cate-
gory and navigation buttons that permit adjustment of various operational
parameters.
1-M/E Built-In Menu Features
Almost all the capabilities of a standard Kalypso Menu panel can be per-
formed with the built-in menu. Kalypso system functions not supported
with this built-in menu system include:
•
Still Store operation,
•
Transform Engine Kurl option programming,
•
Kalypso system configuration,
•
Resource acquisition,
•
Machine Control,
•
User Transition setup, and
•
File save and load operations.
Use a separate Menu panel or a PC running the Kalypso menu application
to perform these functions.
DPOP with Separate Menu Panel
If a separate Menu panel is used, the
Ext Menu
button on the 1-M/E Main
panel activates double press open (DPOP) functionality. The 1-M/E Main
panel must be configured with the IP address of the separate Menu panel.
When the
Ext Menu
button is illuminated, double pressing various delega-
tion buttons on the 1-M/E Main panel will open the corresponding menu
on the separate Menu panel.
