Trans Rate Button
The
Trans Rate
button on the E-MEM subpanel is used to set transition rates
for M/E main and keyer transitions. See
more information.
When either the
Seq
or
Effect Dis
prefix buttons are lit, the
Trans Rate
button
can be used to enter time values in the same format. See
for details.
Enter Button
The
Enter
button on the E-MEM subpanel is only used to complete a time
value entry on that keypad for an Auto Transition, Effect Dissolve, and
Sequence Delay.
Undo / • Button
The E-MEM
Undo/•
button has two operating modes, unshifted and shifted.
In unshifted mode it is used to enter default and decimal points during
data entry, and in shifted mode is it used to undo the last E-MEM operation.
The
↑
Bank
button is used to specify shifted or unshifted operation.
Default and Decimal Point Entry - When unshifted (
↑
Bank
is off
)
the
Undo/•
button is used with Learn, Get, and Put operations to represent the next
available register (the default). The unshifted
Undo/•
button is also used for
Sequence and Effect Dissolve operations to represent the colon separator in
time value entry. In this mode, the button affects
Undo - When shifted (
↑
Bank
is on
)
and the last operation was an E-MEM
register operation (Learn, Recall, an effect edit, or Undo), pressing the
Undo/•
button will undo the operation. If an operation has just been undone,
pressing the shifted
Undo/•
button will redo the operation. Thus, pressing
↑
Bank
,
Undo/•
repeatedly allows toggling back and forth between the last
two states of the current effect. The
Undo/•
button must be used immediately
after an undesired operation, or it may be unable to undo it.
Time Value Entry
Time values are input on the Kalypso Main Control Panel E-MEM and
Master E-MEM subpanels in seconds, frames, odd field format, using the
Undo/•
button the separator (indicated below as “
•
”
)
and the
Enter
button to
complete the entry:

The default time entry is in frames. For example, a time of 15 frames (one
half second on 60 hz systems) can be input simply by pressing:
