Message and Code
Description and Remedial Action
Code 90 Download firmware mismatch –
invalid version.
You tried to download a firmware with an earlier version number
than the firmware that is currently installed in the device.
Downgrading the firmware may result in loss of functionality or
malfunctioning of the device. If required, repeat the download
with a firmware version later than the version currently installed
in the device.
Code 7026 UV lamp malfunction
Code 7028 UV lamp malfunction
Turn on the lamp once more.
Check the lamp connector.
Check that the lamp cover is installed properly.
If the message appears again, replace the UV lamp (see
the UV Lamp (Deuterium Lamp) (
).
Code 7029 VIS lamp malfunction
Code 7030 VIS lamp malfunction
Turn on the lamp once more.
Check the lamp connector.
Check that the lamp cover is installed properly.
If the message appears again, replace the VIS lamp (see
the VIS Lamp (Tungsten Lamp) (
Code 7040 Data transfer error from
detector to PC – check USB connection.
Check the USB connection. Use only the USB cables provided by
Thermo Fisher Scientific for the detector. Avoid CPU-intensive and
time-consuming operations on the PC during high-speed data
acquisition.
Code 7041 Command rejected – switch
lamp on first.
Make sure that either the UV and/or VIS lamp are on. Operation
can be performed only if any of the lamps or both lamps are on.
Code 7044 Unexpected low light
intensity - check lamp(s) for correct
installation.
Check the lamp installation.
Code 7045 Unexpected high light
intensity measured –check flow cell
installation.
Check if the environmental conditions (ambient humidity and
ambient temperature) are within the specified operating range
(see
).
Run the detector over night (at least 12 hours, recommended
24 hours) with an installed diagnostic flow cell and with the UV
lamp (and VIS lamp, if available) turned on.
If the message still appears, install a different flow cell or a
diagnostic cell. Turn on any lamp (UV or VIS) and perform an auto-
zero.
Code 7046 xx over-temperature -
emergency standby in yy seconds.
Code 7047 xx over-temperature -
emergency standby after acquisition
completed (force shutdown in yy s).
Code 7086 xx over-temperature –
emergency standby entered now.
With xx = system or lamp house, yy = the number of seconds
before emergency standby or shutdown is entered
An over-temperature condition was detected.
Turn off the detector and let the detector cool down.
Check that the detector is operated within the specified
environmental conditions (ambient temperature), see
.
Check the cooling air intake and the ventilation holes on the rear
side of the detector for dust. If dust is present, aspirate the dust
and loose particles with a vacuum cleaner.
