6.2 Pump Block Status Indicator (Loading Pump)
The status LED that is located on the interior front panel above the pump head of the
loading pump indicates the operational status of the pump block (
→
LED
Operational Status
The LED is dark.
The pump head is not delivering (no flow).
The LED is green.
The pump head is delivering.
The LED flashes green:
In normal operation
In addition, the message 'Compression limit reached' appears
in the Chromeleon Audit Trail.
The compression value was 100% during each of the past
three strokes. If the compression value is lower than 100%
for several strokes afterward, the message 'Compression back
to normal' will appear in the Audit Trail.

During pump
maintenance
The pistons are in the appropriate position for piston (seal)
replacement.
The LED flashes red.
The pistons are
not
in the appropriate position for normal
operation (for example, after piston (seal) replacement) or an
error occurred during internal maintenance (
→
page 142).
In both cases, the following message appears on the pump
display "Undock err., open purge valve". A similar message
appears in the Chromeleon Audit Trail.
To resolve the problem:
1. Open the purge valve.
2. Perform the
Dock Pistons
command.
3. Close the purge valve.
