Thermo Scientific

Use the following procedure to inspect and clean the thermoelectric cooler

fins.

Turn the instrument OFF and unplug the power cord.

Remove the PMT cooler from the instrument. Refer to “

PMT Cooler

Shroud Removal

” on page

7-26

Blow off the cooler fins using clean pressurized air. It may be more

convenient to vacuum the cooler fins. In either case, make sure that

particulate accumulation between the fins has been removed.

If necessary, use a small brush to remove residual particulate

accumulation.
