10. MISSED APPROACH
a. AlP DISCITRIM INTER Switch - PRESS to disengage AP.
b. MISSED APPROACH - EXECUTE.
c. If autopilot is desired:
1) Elevator Trim -- VERIFY or SET.
2) Airspeed and Rate of Climb -~STABILIZED ..
NOTE
Avoid
autopilot
engagement
into
a
climb
condition
that
either cannot be maintained, or is on the performance limits
of the airplane for its power and weight configuration.
3) AP Button -- PRESS.
Note ROL and VS annunciators
on.
If no other modes are selected the autopilot will
operate
in the ROL and VS modes.
Verify that the
airplane Vertical Speed Indicator (VS!) and the Autopilot
VS agree.
NOTE
If tracking the ILS course outbound as part of the missed
approach
procedure
is desired,
use the
NAV
mode to
prevent .inadvertent GS coupling ..
