Alignment
The alignment of the KnieAgil® WK11
should be based on the TKA line. The
front, top center of the axis usually serves
as the reference point for the alignment.
Static Fitting
Upon delivery, every joint is set to
a basic setting.
Ask the patient to stand up. Remain close,
so you can support the patient if necessary.
Adjust the components individually, until
the patient is able to stand securely.
Different adjustment options are descri
bed in the section „Dynamic Fitting“.
Dynamic Fitting
To adjust the swing phase setting, both
the initial spring tension as well as the axis
friction in the top part of the knee joint
can be adjusted. Please note that the ef
fect of the extension assist spring and the
setting of the axis friction are connected
to each other. To adjust the swing phase
setting you should start by adjusting the
initial spring tension. Afterwards you can
influence the damping during swing phase
by adjusting the axis friction.
