Adjusting Axis Friction for
Flexion Damping
An Allen screw is visible in the posterior
rubber coating. This screw can be used to
adjust the axis friction, which dampens
the flexion of the joint.
Tighten the screw Stronger flexion
damping
Loosen the screw Less flexion
damping
Adjusting the Anterior Stop
The adjustment of the anterior stop
serves two purposes:
When Using the Joint with
the Lock Activated
Once the lock screw on the botton side of
the top part of the joint (screw #1, torque
1Nm) has been loosened, the stop screw,
which is positioned at an angle of 90°
to the lock screw, can be adjusted. It is
now possible to change the lock‘s locking
behaviour and the amount of play it has.

Static Fitting
Upon delivery, every joint is set to
a basic setting.
Ask the patient to stand up. Remain close,
so you can support the patient if necessary
Individually adjust all components until
the patient is able to stand securely.
Optional adjustments are described in
the section “Dynamic Fitting”.
Dynamic Fitting
The following joint settings can be adju
sted if desired. We recommend following
the suggested order of adjustments.
Adjusting the Extension Speed
The extension assist spring is located in
the distal pylon adapter. It can be adjusted
by way of a slotted screw. The extension
assist is set to a medium extension speed
upon delivery.
Tighten the screw Higher extension
speed
Loosen the screw Lower extension
