Adjusting the Brake Unit Friction
Please Note:
Make sure your patient
understands that the brake unit, which
increases the safety during stance phase,
gets activated when weight is put on the
joint. The brake will not be activated if no
weight is put on the joint.
The special combination of brake unit and
stance flexion unit comes in especially
useful when the user is walking downhill,
since the stance flexion remains active
when the brake gets activated. This
means that, thanks to the stance flexion
unit, the joint can be flexed by up to 12°.
