Writing the RS-232C Control Program on Windows

12.3 Writing the RS-232C Control Program on Windows

12.3.1 Programming Sequence

Configure the serial port.

Set the Baud Rate, Parity Bit (None), Data Bit (8-bit), and Stop Bit (1-bit).

Open the port.

Send the RS-232C command to the serial port.

Check the command execution status on the MTP200B screen.

Upon command execution, a response will be received from MTP200B, and the next command w

ill be sent.

12.3.2 Programming Notes

Use colons between commands.

Do not use space except when inputting the parameter value.

Upon transmission of the command, LF (Line Feed, Chr (10)) will also be sent together with the c

ommand.

For the Write command, “ACK” response will be returned; for the query command, the correspon

ding value will be returned. The next command shall be sent after the response is received.
