11.4. Message listening
When you get access to your mailbox, T40 immediately informs you about new messages. New messages
are never listened messages, they are not necessary just recorded, they can be in mailbox from many days,
but never be listened. It depends by your mailbox access frequency. Old messages are messages that you
have listened at least one time.
It is easy to listen only to new messages and cancel not interesting ones. Not cancelled messages once
listened becomes “OLD” and can be played again in the future (take care also for the auto delete function
and max messages parameter).
To listening the new messages, press “1” (or “2” to listen to old messages). During the listening, some
functions are active:
Repeat current message
Play date/time of current message
Delete current message
Transfer message to another mailbox
Go to the next message
Return to previous message
Exit from listening menu
Attention: Deleted messages cannot be restored. To avoid memory saturation and maintain your
mailbox clear, it is suggested to erase not important messages as you listen them.
While a message is being played, it is possible to stop it pressing any digit, with “7” or “9” exception; they are
used to skip to the next or previous message.
