7.2. PBX
parameters
Some parameters have to match your PBX specifications (especially in case of integrated T40 version). This
table allows configuring tones, signaling strings, etc.
PBX type
: the PBX type integrated in services with T40. Zero means no particular PBX, standard services.
No change is possible on this field.
VM Group number
: write here the group number of the extensions connected to T40 and characterized as
voice mail in the PBX.
Line 1 number (2-3-4)
: the exact extension number connected to T40 on line basis.
Lamp ON string
: this is the string sequence that T40 use for turning ON the messages indication on
extension phones (available only on integrated versions). Please see the “integration addendum” manual for
more information, PBX specific.
Lamp OFF string
: same as above, to clear the messages indication.
Line lamp notify
: Indicate which line T40 must use to notify or signaling messages to extensions.
Number of retry
: T40 can repeat message signaling on extension, to improve indication refreshes.
Time wait for digits
: time out in seconds, within it PBX must send its Integration digits command string (only
to be set with integrated version).
Recording boost
: set to increase callers incoming messages recording level.
Busy Tone
: busy tone specifications for your PBX (rhythm, cadence)

freq: signal frequency in Hz (normally 420)

sense: tone sensitivity (a low value represent a high recognition sensitivity)

ontime: tone presence time (in mSec)
•
ontdev: tone presence deviation time (+/- this value)
•
offtime: tone absence time (in mSec)
•
offtdev: tone absence deviation time (+/- this value)
•
repcnt: tone presence/absence to be counted to validate a Busy signal
Reorder Tone
: as above, for the Reorder tone
SENS VOX
: this is the system sensitivity, on channel basis, of the answer recognition mechanism, to detect
when to one called it comes given answered at the ringing extension. A low value (min. 2) represents a high
recognition sensitivity.
