enables the mailbox owner to manually transfer received messages to another T40
mailbox during listening operation.
Exit Table N°:
when extension user does not answer to a caller, T40 will use this programmed exit table to
take actions (see 10.4).
PBX Integrated Services
The commonly called “integration” is a particular extended application developed to best integrate T40
services over a wide range of PBX brands models. With recent PBXs is normally possible to program some
extension to act as “voice mail” service. This permits to callers to directly leave a message to the mailbox of
busy or absent users and to inform users about new messages using PBX specific services as led lamp on
the phone or messages on the phone display.
Activate led lamp:
indicates if signaling to the extension has to be done (led lamp or PBX specific alert).
On extension:
which extension the signaling has to be done. By default the same extension, but it could be
different: in case the extension is member of a group or other requirements.
External calls:
for PBX models that distinguishes external calls from internal, it’s possible to discriminate the
mailbox activation only for external calls.
Internal calls:
for PBX models that distinguishes external calls from internal, it’s possible to discriminate the
mailbox activation also for internal calls. Normally internal callers won’t leave a message to a busy user.
Use exit table:
Before requesting to leave a message in the mailbox, a particular exit table (used as
incoming) could be activated to present more choices to the caller.
Exit Table N°:
which table is to be used to propose actions.
If T40 is equipped without integration for any particular PBX, then the above parameters have no effects. For
the PBX sides of this special setup refers to qualified technicians or consults specific PBX documentation.
Please consider that integration functions are not the same for all PBX and for this reason a PBX specific
T40 addendum manual better explains obtainable features.
10.3. Extension insertion
To add extensions to T40, select “C” (create extension) from main windows. The software only accepts
extensions with the same number of digits you have planned (three digits in our examples). If an already
existing extension is selected, the system simply loads the extension configuration to allow changes. The
add and the modify mask are the same.
Trick: input an already existing extension before to create a new ones cause T40 to take the already existing
extension common properties and use them for all new extensions you will create (same profiles).
