14. MESSAGE RECORDING
14.1. Introduction
The system comes with a series of system default messages (see appendix for full list).
Menu messages must be recorded by user when he plans the menu itself. All system messages however
are changeable and can be recorded using a normal phone, or imported from a file, for example in case of
messages produced by TEMA in recording studio and shipped to the customer (see “Import” command on
system menu management).
14.2. Message recording and listening
For any reason, when a message recording is requested, the same procedure has to be followed. To record
(or listen) a message is necessary that a PBX extension line is connected to the first T40 line plug.
The simplest way to operate require a PBX extension line socket, near T40, where to connect the phone in
order to operate on the terminal connected to T40 and a phone to use to record messages.
To start a system message recording (or listening), you have to call the T40 line extension number and
when you get the ringing tone from the PBX press <enter>.
Now follows recording window instructions, you have to record the message after the tone and stop
recording pressing <enter> again.
14.3. System message changing
Sometimes customer requires to change one or more messages of the system default set to better fit their
operativity. To change one of the default system set message, select the “guide messages” from main
menu:
Write the message name you want to change or listen (please see the appendix list) and use above
described modes to do your changes.
