3.1.2 Install System Framework
Follow the instructions in
Section 2.1.2
through
Section 2.1.2.2
for installing the uni-
strut frame for each 8-way portion of the 16-way system.
Begin the system installation by arranging the system’s uni-strut frames on the system
deck. The frames should be squared, leveled and plumbed. Ensure the hardware se-
curing the uni-strut pieces together is fastened to the torque specification listed in
Ap-
pendix A
. Refer to your system schematic to verify installation dimensions.
Warning! The uni-strut frame requires at least two persons to place
into position. Take care not to tip the assembly over.
The system was shipped with cables zip-tied to the uni-strut frames. Some of the zip
ties were used to secure the cables for shipment purposes.
Note
: Yellow zip ties were used to secure components for shipment
and may be removed. All non-yellow trimmed zip ties should remain in
place. Any zip ties that retain the untrimmed long “tail” may be cut when it
comes time to connect the cables.

If the system includes the Maintenance Switch option, follow the directions in
Section
3.2.2
to install the Maintenance Termination Supports.
