3.0 Introduction
This section describes the unpacking, inspection and installation procedures the user
should follow to set up a 16-way C-Band High Power Outdoor PowerMAX System.
3.1 Installation
The system was shipped from the factory as intact as possible, but some assembly is
required to complete the installation. The system includes the following components:
Four (4) Uni-Strut Frames;
Four (4) Waveguide/Combiner Assemblies;
Two (2) Uni-Strut Support, 63-inch (1 for each 8-way system);
Four (4) Uni-Strut Supports, 18-inch (2 for each 8-way system);
Three (3) Magic Tee Assemblies and Terminations (1 for each 8-way
system and one for the combined 16-way system);
Two (2) 8-way system output waveguide;
Sixteen (16) High Power Outdoor SSPA Modules;
Two (2) Outdoor SSPA Controller Assemblies;
Three (3) RF Distribution Box Assemblies (1 for each 8-way system and
one for the combined 16-way system);
Two (2) Optional AC Distribution Box Assemblies;
One (1) Optional Ethernet Switch (attached to 16-way system RF Distri-
bution Box);
One (1) Optional Maintenance Switch Controller;
One (1) Optional Maintenance Switch, Termination and Supports;
One (1) Optional Maintenance Switch E-/H-Bend Waveguide;
Coaxial cables and COMS cables.
