Installation, Outdoor HPO PowerMAX System
3.1.13 Connect Cables
Install the following sets of cables as described. All semi-rigid coaxial cable is pre-
formed and should not be re-shaped or otherwise altered.
3.1.13.1 Forward Sample In
There are two semi-rigid coaxial cables labeled
W10
. These cables connect between
the SMA connector of the forward sample off the crossguide coupler at each 8-way
system output and Port J13 of the associated system RF Distribution Box.
Do not bend or otherwise alter the shape of this cable during installation.
3.1.13.2 RF Distribution Cables
The RF Distribution Cables are flexible coaxial cables used to distribute the RF signal
from the RF Distribution Box of each system to the RF Input Type-N connector of each
of the system’s SSPA Modules.
Each cable is labeled, and should be plugged in to the appropriate connector. Both
8-way systems share the cable label numbering scheme. See
Table 3-1
.
In addition, there are two flexible coaxial cables that connect between the system sig-
nal box and each system’s RF Distribution Box.
Connect the cable labeled
W100
between port J4 (System 1 RF Output) of the signal
box and port J9 (Main RF Input) of the System 1 RF Distribution Box. Connect the ca-
ble labeled
W200
between port J3 (System 2 RF Output) of the signal box and port J9
(Main RF Input) of the System 2 RF Distribution Box. Do not bend or otherwise alter
the shape of these cables during installation.
3.1.13.3 Forward/Reflected Power Sample Cables
Two semi-rigid coaxial cables are used to provide samples of the forward and reflected
power to the signal box. Connect the cable labeled
W300
between port J5 (Forward
RF Sample In) of the signal box and the system dual crossguide coupler. Connect the
cable labeled
W400
between port J6 (Reflected RF Sample In) of the signal box and
the system dual crossguide coupler. Do not bend or otherwise alter the shape of these
cables during installation.
