PROBLEM
CAUSES

Corn stalks
threshing on the
pulling rollers.
Wide-opened sliding plates. Close the plates a little.
Many corn canes
on the output of the
equipment.
Very closed sliding plates. Open the sliding plates.
Chains spread over the
sliding plates.
Retreat the chain guides if necessary.
Very high harvest speed.
Adjust the combine harvester speed
according to the tillage condition.
Fallen cobs to the
soil.

not appropriately to the
plantation.
Carry out the harvest using a spacing
that accords to the plantation.
Equipment harvesting high
(above the cobs).
Lower the harvesting height.
Very high chain speed.
Reduce the chain rotation speed and
increase the combine harvester speed.
Harvesting with a very
lowered equipment.
Lift the equipment in a way that it grabs
the cobs in the ideal height.
Bushings.
Weeds entangling on the
pulling rollers.
Adjust the cleaning plates as close as
possible from the rollers (about 1 mm).
Very loose chains.
Stretch the chains.
Wearing on the sliding
plates.
Replace the parts that show wear.
Very close sliding plates on
the entrance of the row unit.
Open more the sliding plates in a way
that the plants enter on the row easily.
Locked plants on the front
of the sliding plates.
Place the chains guide in a way that they
stay over the sliding plates, so the chain
flights must be more exposed over the
sliding plates in the entrance of the row
unit.
Chains escaping.
Gathering chains escaping
from the sprockets.
Tighten the spring of the chain tighteners.
Equipment does
not work.
Slipping clutch disc.
Adjust the clutch according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
Cardan shaft is not turning. Broken fuse bolt. Replace it.
