About locking the radio

You can lock your radio to prevent unauthorized use,
if this feature is programmed for your radio. When
your radio is locked, you can only make emergency
calls. Your radio can still receive calls and status
requests, but you must unlock the radio to respond to
them.

Your radio will remain locked even if it is turned off and
then on again.

Locking the radio

You may be able to lock your radio by either turning it
off and then on again, using the menu or by pressing
a function key.
