Power Off the Server for Orderly
Shutdown
Use one of the following procedures to perform an orderly shutdown. These
procedures cause ACPI-enabled operating systems to perform an orderly shutdown
of the operating system. Servers not running ACPI-enabled operating systems shut
down to standby power mode immediately.
Caution –
To completely power off the server, you must disconnect the power cords
from the back panel of the server.

Use the Power Button for Orderly Shutdown
1. Press and quickly release the Power button on the server front panel.
The server performs an orderly shutdown to standby power mode.
2. To completely power off the server from standby power mode, disconnect the
power cables from the server.
The server powers down completely.
