Installing the Disk Drive Backplane
5. Replace all disk drives and filler panels.
See “Install a Disk Drive” on page 3-4 .
6. Replace the DVD drive.
See “Install the DVD Drive or DVD Drive Filler Panel” on page 4-25 .
7. Return the server to operation:
a. Install the top cover.
See Section 6.1 “Replacing the Server Top Cover” on page 6-1 .
b. Return the server to the normal rack position.
See Section 6.2 “Returning the Server to the Normal Rack Position” on page 6-2 .
c. Reconnect all power cords to the server power supplies and power on the
server.
See Section 6.3 “Powering On the Server” on page 6-3 .
Note –
The product serial number used for service entitlement and warranty
coverage might need to be reprogrammed on the disk backplane by authorized
service personnel with the correct product serial number located on the chassis EZ
label.
