Installing the Administration Console
All platform setup and configuration is done via the system controller.
There are two methods of connecting to a system controller:

by a serial connection to port A (ASCII terminal, tip session from a
workstation, or a Network terminal server (NTS)
●
by a telnet session
The serial port settings for serial port A of the system controller board are
set up automatically by default and are set to 9600 baud, eight data bits,
no parity, and one stop bit. Cable layout is

The F6800 has a panel that connects the system controller board to the
network and the administration workstation serial port.
Connect to port A on the system controller by the connector marked A->
The ethernet cable goes into the connector marked TP->
Directly connect to the F3800 and F4800 system controllers by the splitter
cable provided.
Serial port B is used by the framemanager.
