Repairing the pressure regulator
Messages on the digital display
No display does not necessarily mean that spraying device is not pressurized. Depressurize the device before perfor-
ming repairs. Read the depressurisation section on chapter 4 for details.

Problem
Cause/Symptoms
Measure
None
Device switches
off; no power sup-
ply.
Pressure drop
Check and ensure the power supply, check the ON/OFF
switch, check for loose cables, possible display defects
or the cable may have worked loose on the display
E = 02
Device does not
switch off; pres-
sure continues to
rise; power supply
assured.
Pressure greater than 310
bar damaged pressure sen-
sor or control unit.
Check the airless hose: min. 15 m length and 1/4" dia-
meter. If the hose is okay, replace the pressure sensor:
if the device still fails to run, replace the controller
E = 03
Device switches
off; power supply
assured
Pressure sensor; wire
break; loose connector
Check the connector; depressurize, replace the pressure
sensor
E = 04
Device switches
off; power supply
assured
Line voltage too high
Check the mains voltage; not above 230 V
E = 05
Device switches
off and/or not
on; power supply
assured
Motor fault
Check for loose connectors; short circuit due to defec-
tive cables? Unplug the mains plug; relieve pressure,
separate the piston from the drive and attempt to turn
the motor on the impeller. Motor blocked by defective
gear unit? If not: attach a 9 V block battery between
the black and white motor cables. If the motor does
not turn (very slowly), replace the motor. If the motor
turns, replace the controller board.
Allow the device to cool; when the device is switched
on again, check for tight seating of the impeller wing:
check that exhaust air is being discharged; check the
power supply - minimum 220 V, 2.5 mm
2
extension
lead, length no more than 30 m. Set up the device in
a cool place. If the device still does not work after coo-
ling, and the diode still continues to flash 6x, measure
the current flow between the red motor cables: no cur-
rent flow = replace motor.
E = 06
Device switches
off; power supply
assured
Motor is too hot
Allow the device to cool; when the device is switched
on again, check for tight seating of the impeller wing:
check that exhaust air is being discharged; check the
power supply - minimum 220 V, 2.5 mm² extension
lead, length no more than 30 m. Set up the device in
a cool place. If the device still does not work after coo-
ling, and the diode still continues to flash 6x, measure
the current flow between the red motor cables: no cur-
rent flow = replace motor.
E = 08
Device switches
off and/or not
on; power supply
assured
input voltage too low
Check the mains voltage; at least 220 V
----------
Power supply
assured
Pressure set to below 14
bar, bypass valve possibly
open
Increase pressure, close bypass
