Select the desired operating mode. Your
choices are:
• Manual: Charge and discharge the unit
manually
• Backup power: Use the storage unit to provide
power when the grid is unavailable
• Self-consumption: Use stored energy when
solar production is less than household
consumption
• Time of Use: Use stored energy only during
specified high-tariff times.

Press "Launch my sonnen Batterie."

The session user will be logged out.
14. Set back-up buffer

Log back in using the same credentials

Click on "Settings" tab
▶
Click "Back-up buffer"
▶
Adjust the back-up buffer to the desired value.
The factory default value is 10% but a higher
value may be needed if more reliable and longer
lasting backup power is desired during grid
outages.
15. Verify CT configuration

Without the PV system connected, use a multi-
meter, measure the current over CT 1 and CT2
wires.
