Electrical connections
Only trained, electrically qualified
persons that are certified by
the manufacturer are allowed to
perform the installation of the
storage system. Any variation of
the installation as it is described
in this chapter must be arranged
and approved by sonnen. Failure to
comply with this condition will void
any warranty claims.

improper electrical connection!
Improper attachment of the
electrical connections may lead to
death, injury, or material damages.

Observe all relevant regulations
and standards.

when working on the storage
system or power distribution!

Make sure no voltage is present.
▶
Ensure the main DC breaker is
turned OFF.
▶
Ensure battery modules are
powered down.
WARNING
Risk of burns!
When working on the storage
system:
▶
Ensure that all modules are OFF
by checking the POWER and
STATUS LEDs are both off until
told to power on.
▶
Take off metallic jewelry.
▶
Turn off the storage system.
▶
Turn off the main disconnect.
▶
Use insulated tools
▶
Wear personal protective
equipment, including safety
glasses, insulated gloves, and
safety shoes.
WARNING
Risk of fire or damage to
equipment by improper sub-panel
wiring!
Ensure there is no connection
between the main panel and the
protected loads panel outside of
the storage system. This includes
hot and neutral conductors. The
only point of connection between
the main panel and the protected
loads panel should be through the
storage unit. Pay close attention to
the last section of the installation
that requires the installer to check
for neutral loops.
