The Ethernet socket is located on the back left
corner of the main cabinet.

Connect a shielded Ethernet cable to the
Ethernet socket.
▶
Proceed to "Generator Autostart wiring
(optional).
Generator Autostart wiring (optional)
There are 3 methods for wiring the autostart
circuit, based on the requirements of the
generator used:
1. 12V
2. 24V
3. Dry Contact (Continuity)
The sonnen eco Gen 3.1 storage system has
ports for all three methods. If you have any
questions about wiring or hardware options,
please contact the sonnen service line at
(818)-824-6363.
12V Signal

1. Locate the green, 2-position plug connector
provided in the accessory kit.
2. Insert stripped ends of customer’s 12V
connection cables into the 2-position plug.
3. Ensure the positive cable is on the bottom
and the negative cable is on the top.
4. Insert the plug into the J11 port on the HUB
board.
24V Signal

1. Locate the green, 2-position plug connector
provided in the accessory kit.
2. Insert stripped ends of customer’s 24V
connection cables into the 2-position plug.
3. Ensure the positive cable is on the bottom
and the negative cable is on the top.
4. Insert the plug into the J12 port on the HUB
board.
