Attachment Lift Service
The Landlord has three basic attachment lift configura-
tions:
1) single chain manual lift
2) double cable manual lift
3) and double chain electric lift.
See the appropriate section for your lift configuration.
LATCH ROD & LATCH ROD SPRING REPLACEMENT -
MANUAL LIFT MODELS
The latch rod fits inside the hollow lift lever assembly
tube and is secured in place with a spring and push-on
nut (F & E, Figures B–26 & B–27).
1. Using a 5/16" pin punch and hammer, tap the end of
the latch rod back through the lift lever latch (G,
Figures B–26 & B–27). (The push-on nut and spring
loop end will slide over the end of the pin punch as
the latch rod is pushed out of the lift lever latch.)
2. Pull the pin punch back out of the latch rod hole, and
slide the spring and push-on nut off the end of the pin
punch.
3. Disengage the hook end of the spring from the lift
lever assembly, and visually inspect the spring for
wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
4. Inspect the lift lever latch (G, Figures B–26 & B–27),
and replace if necessary. The lift lever latch may be
removed from the lift lever assembly by using a pin
punch and hammer to tap out the roll pin (Figure B-
25).
5. Reassemble parts in reverse order of disassembly.
Use a flat blade screwdriver, or suitably sized nut-dri-
ver and hammer, to tap the push-on nut onto the
lower end of the latch rod.
SINGLE CHAIN MANUAL LIFT
The single chain manual lift lever is mounted externally
at the right side of the frame and does not require dash-
board area disassembly for access to parts. However, for
greatest ease of access to all lift lever parts, the mower
deck can be removed. See Figure B–26 for a complete
exploded view of all lift lever parts.)
