6 General Repair
6C Foot Controls Repair
Brake Pedal Assembly Service -
Tuff Torq K210A Models
Refer to Figure C–28 for specific assembly and part
information.
1. Remove the mower deck to gain easier access to
brake controls.
2. Remove the lock nut (17, Figure C–28) and washer
(16) and slide the brake pedal assembly (2) out of the
frame. Note the positions of the torsion spring (10),
foot pedal arm (15), and parking brake cam (13).
Front and Rear Brake Rod Assembly
Service - Tuff Torq K210A Models
Refer to Figure C–28 for specific assembly and part
information.
1. Remove the mower deck to gain easier access to
brake control parts.
2. Remove the cotter pin and washer (3, 8) that attach
the rear brake rod (5) to the transmission. Detach
the rod from the transmission.
3. Remove the cotter pin and washer (3, 18) that attach
the front brake rod (20) to the foot pedal arm (15)
parking brake cam (13).
4. Remove the brake rod assembly and separate the
front and rear rods by removing the Nyloc nut (7).
Inspect and repair as necessary.
