Effect of thermally insulated/non-insulated mounting without and with gearbox

The heat dissipation of the motor via the flange is reduced by an insulated design or by

mounting gearboxes on motors. The development of heat also changes depending on the

gearbox type.
To avoid thermally overloading motors when using gearboxes, reduce the specified power data

when designing the system (see schematic diagram below).
