Safety instructions for control cabinet design

WARNING

Electric shock when connecting/disconnecting live cables
Because of the DC link capacitors, a hazardous voltage is present for up to five minutes after 

the power supply has been switched off.
Contact with live parts can result in death or serious injury.
● Open the protective cover of the DC link and only remove/insert the hybrid cable after 5 

minutes have elapsed. 

● Before starting any work, also check that the system is in a voltage-free state by measuring 

at the DC link terminals DCP and DCN.

WARNING

Danger of injury caused by foreign objects in the device
Parts (e.g.: drilling chips, end sleeves) falling into the device can cause short-circuits and 

damage the insulation. This can lead to serious injuries (arcing, bangs, pieces flying out of the 

equipment). 
● Only perform installation and other work when the devices are current-free.
● Cover the ventilation slits during the installation of the control cabinet and remove the cover 

before switching on.

NOTICE
Damage caused by incorrect installation of the hybrid cable and termination connector
Incorrectly mounted hybrid cables or termination connectors can cause damage or 

malfunctions.
● After connection, the hybrid cable and the termination connector must be additionally 

tightened using the tool provided.

● Observe the bending radii for hybrid cables
