Partner
●
Activate partner
Selecting the option enables communication with the configured partner (master) on the
CP.
●
Partner number
Number of the activated partner. The partner number is assigned by the system and is
required to assign data points to their communications partners.
●
Master station address
To identify a master in the network a unique master station address is required.
–
DNP3: Address of the master
–
IEC: Common ASDU address of the controlling station
Connection to partner
●
Partner IP address
IP address or host name (FQDN) of the partner. This can, for example, also be the FQDN
of a DynDNS service.
●
Connection monitoring
Only for DNP3
When the function is enabled, the connection to the communications partner is monitored
by sending keepalive frames.
The TCP connection monitoring time is set for all TCP connections of the CP in the
parameter group of the Ethernet interface. The setting applies to all TCP connections of
the CP.
Here in the parameter group "Partner stations", the globally set TCP connection
monitoring time can be set separately for the partner. The value set here for the partner
overwrites the global value that was set in the "Ethernet interface (X1) > Advanced
options > TCP connection monitoring" parameter group.
●
TCP connection monitoring time
Only for DNP3
Function: If there is no data traffic within the TCP connection monitoring time, the CP
sends a keepalive frame to the communications partner.
Default setting: 180 s. Permitted range: 1...65535 s.
The monitoring time is specified at a higher level for the Ethernet interface as the default
for all configured TCP connections.
–
The parameter below the Ethernet interface
The monitoring time is configured for the Ethernet interface globally for all TCP
connections. The parameter is preset to 180 seconds as default.
