integer type in PDU mode (default 0), or string type in text mode (default "REC UN-
READ"); indicates the status of message in memory; defined values:
0 "REC UNREAD" received unread message (i.e. new message)
1 "REC READ" received read message
2 "STO UNSENT" stored unsent message (only applicable to SMs)
3 "STO SENT" stored sent message (only applicable to SMs)
4 "ALL" all messages (only applicable to
AT+CMGL List SMS messages from preferred
command)
<alpha>
string type alphanumeric representation of <da> or <oa> corresponding to the entry
found in MT phonebook; implementation of this feature is manufacturer-specific
<ct>
GSM 03.40 TP-Command-Type in integer format (default 0)
<da>
GSM 03.40 TP-Destination-Address Address-Value field in string format; BCD
numbers (or GSM default alphabet characters) are converted into characters; type of
