Automatic update for the VoIP provider settings
After the first download of the VoIP provider settings, your phone will check daily whether
a newer version of the file for your VoIP provider is available via the Internet on the Siemens
configuration server. If this is the case, when the handset is in idle status the message

The new data for your VoIP provider will be downloaded and saved on the phone.
Entering/changing VoIP user data
The VoIP settings must also be extended for your personal data. You will receive all neces-
sary data from your VoIP provider.

Username:
Enter the user name (caller ID) for your VoIP provider account.
Username
is often identi-
cal to your Internet telephone number (the first part of your SIP address, see page 136).

Enter the provider-dependent access data that has to be transferred by the phone to the
SIP service at registration.

– If an error occurs during the download, an error message will be displayed. You can find possible
messages and measures in the table on page 163.
– You can make and adapt the general settings for your VoIP provider manually via your phone's
Web configurator, see page 133.

– You can deactivate the automatic version check via the Web configurator (page 161).
