Count direction of the code position CP
Explanation
The CLX can scan and decode several bar codes with each read. In doing so, it determines
the specific local reading diagnosis data for each bar code the position (CP value) of the cen-
ter of the bar code within the scan.
shows the count direction of the code position. The count direction of the code po-
sition is marked by a cross in the reading window.
By determining this data, the device can separate identical bar codes (code type, code
length, and data content identical) and assign the bar code data in the reading result to its
position on the object.
Tip
In the default setting, the CLX does not output the "CP" value in the reading result on the
host interface. If this is required to evaluate the result in the host, the values can be included
in the separator of the output string using the "CLV-Setup" program.
Configuring the separator:
1.
Choose the D
ATA

TRINGS
tab.
2.
Click the S
EPARATOR
field.
The E

ARAMETER
TFS dialog box is displayed.
3.
In the list field, click the CP parameter.
CP then appears in the top line.
4.
Confirm your selections with OK.
5.
Download the data to the CLX by clicking
in the toolbar.

ARAMETERS
dialog box is then displayed.
6.
Confirm the dialog box by choosing P
ERMANENT
.
The CLX outputs the CP value on the host interface for each bar code in the reading
result. The values are displayed as a 3-digit number in the associated separator.
