5.1
Mounting instructions
•
Observe the technical data.
•
Protect the sensor from direct sunlight.
•
To prevent condensation, avoid exposing the device to rapid changes in tempera‐
ture.
•
The mounting site has to be designed for the weight of the device.
•
To avoid inaccurate measurements when installing multiple devices: Make sure
that the light spot of one device is not in the interference range of another device.
5.2
Mounting device
1.
Mount the device using the designated fixing holes,

Make the electrical connection,
see "Connecting the device electrically", page 19
.
Attach the voltage-free cable and tighten it, observing the maximum tightening
torque,
see "Mechanics/Electronics", page 50
.
3.
Switch on the supply voltage.

The PWR status LED lights up green.
4.
Align the light spot so that the device measures on the desired object.
NOTE
The device needs max. 300 ms seconds of initialization time before it is ready for
operation.
The device requires 30 minutes of warm-up time. During the device warm-up
phase, the measured values are subject to increased fluctuation (temperature
drift).
