Extended connections on configuration of blanking
To enable the pre-configured blanking to be easily changed by the trained operator (e.g. on
a tool change), the following elements must be connected:
an activation button,
a teach-in key-operated switch and
if necessary, a de-activation button
You will find a detailed circuit description with safety notes, PIN assignment, the PIN
assignment on the extension connection, additional notes and further information in the
operating instructions for the C4000 Standard/Advanced safety light curtain, chapter 6.5
and 6.6.
5.4.1
Implementation of the restart interlock in the C4000 (internal restart
interlock)
On realisation of the restart interlock in the C4000 safety light curtain (internal restart

Teach-in key-operated switch with automatic reset, 1 x normally open
Deactivation button (colour blue), 1 x normally open
Housing with two or three holes and related cable entries, version with at least enclosure
rating IP 65
These items are mounted near the C4000 safety light curtain. Connecting cables between
C4000 receiver, extension plug and the housing for these additional controls are available
as accessories. (cf. chapter 9.4).
5.4.2
Implementation of the restart interlock in the machine controller (external
restart interlock)
If the restart interlock is realised in the machine controller (external restart interlock), an
additional button is required to confirm the blanking:
Activation button (colour yellow), 1 x normally open
These items are mounted near the C4000 safety light curtain. Connecting cables between
C4000 receiver, extension plug and the housing for these additional controls are available
as accessories (cf. chapter 9.4).
