Connection on machine side
Document connections and terminal assignments!
All the connections on the machine side are based on the terminal assignments that you
must document prior to undoing the connections. You can use the form at the end of these
operating instructions for the documentation (see chapter 10.3).
The new device-dependent connections must also be documented; the completed terminal
diagram must be stored with the machine documentation.
Pay attention to 24 V DC power supply, protection class III (SELV/PELV)!
Depending on the version of the old device to be replaced, the input voltage may be
115 V AC, 230 V AC or 24 V DC. The supply voltage must be determined prior to
connection. The power supply to be used on operation with 24 V DC must be designed for
the connection of devices of protection class III (version: SELV or PELV).
Ensure PE connection is made!
Ensure, both in case of the supply of power via the power supply in the LCUR1411
interface unit and on the supply of power with 24 V DC via an external power supply, that
a correct PE connection is made in the LCUR1411 interface unit.
Note link between terminal 8 and 9!
As supplied there is a jumper between 8 and 9 on the terminal strip to the machine
controller. This link must be fitted. Exception:
If the internal (EDM), external device monitoring is used in the old device to be replaced,
the jumper between terminal 8 and 9 on terminal strip X2 must be removed. The feedback
for the external device monitoring for the external contactor must be connected to
terminals 8 and 9 on terminal strip X2.
In case of operation with 115 V DC, the switch on the power supply for the LCUR1411
must be set to 115 V (see figure).
