Instructions No.: 10844
This document is the property of SERES and cannot be reproduced without authorization
Example: If the measurement cycle is 5min and you want to set a calibration per month, you will need to enter
8640 (12cycles * 24H * 30jrs). So the automatic Calibration cycle will perform after 8640 measurement cycles.
11.2.5
Reagent change
To change the reagent containers, wear appropriate protection (gloves, goggles and protective
clothing).
Entirely replace the vials:
Avoid "repotting"
which can always generate a contamination or
dilution risk.
Insert the reagent pipes down to the bottom of each reagent container. Ensure that the reagent
container has an air intake (a small opening on the cap is sufficient).
Check that the sample (or neutral water depending on the configuration) is present at the analyser
inlet: it is necessary to fill the reactor during the reagent priming phase.
Stop the cycle in progress by pressing Stop
.
Access the Tools tab.
Enter the authorised user code
Access the Electrical test menu
.
Press ON to run the pumps and OFF when the priming phase is completed.
It is necessary to recalibrate after every reagent change.
11.2.6
Replacing the pump pipes
Description of the pump pipes
According to the application, there are several types of pipes:
0.8mm inner
Ø
type
1.6-mm inner
Ø
type.
The pump piping is usually made of "PHARMED ®", a material resistant to all chemicals except acetic
acid, solvents and alcohols.
Replacing a SERES peristaltic pump pipe (for reagents)
The pump pipes are to be changed every three months.
Important before replacing the pump pipes:
o
Before changing a pump pipe, it is preferable to empty it (and/or rinse it with
demineralised water) to avoid any chemical spraying risk.
To do so, launch a priming operation with the reagent pipe from the flask or by
suctioning the demineralised water.
o
Wear appropriate protection (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) as the pipes may still
contain traces of chemicals.
