Call up map menu from the visual map
display by pressing the menu selector
knob.

You can manually select the map scale
of your choice from the segment fields by
turning the menu selector knob . The
selected scale will be displayed on the
left.

Confirm your selection by pressing the
menu selector knob .

Once segment "A" has been selected and
confirmed the map is displayed in auto-
zoom. This means that the map automati-
cally is displayed in the most appropriate
scale. The correct scale depends on the
distance to the next decision point (i.e.
turn) and the road class used (i.e. motor-
way). The zoom brings the map closer to
the next decision point (see page 64).

This menu field will call up a submenu
with which you can select other symbols
apart from the symbols which have been
added automatically by the system
(motorway service stations, airports, city
centers, ...).

Select and confirm menu fields "Filling
station", "Station" or "Car Park" in the
submenu.
•
Select field menu "End" to exit sub-
menu.
The selected symbols will then be dis-
played on the map during the guide to
destination on the scale of your choice.

The selected menu field is displayed with
a dotted line.
To delete dotted lines press the menu
selector knob again.

Select and confirm the "Symbol" menu
field. A visual display of symbols will
appear.
You can return to the visual display of the
map by pressing the menu selector knob
